Raupe Rolly wirbt für gutes Hören:

Maskottchen des neuen Kinderhörzentrums OWL erhält Namen

Wie soll unsere Raupe heißen? – So fragten die Organisatoren des Kinderhörzentrums OWL Ende März anlässlich der Eröffnung ihrer regional einzigartigen Einrichtung. Bei einem Wettbewerb konnten Namensideen für das orangefarbene Maskottchen des Zentrums eingesandt werden. Zahlreiche Kinder beteiligten sich an der kreativen Suche, und nun ist die Entscheidung gefallen: Rolly heißt das lustige Raupentier. Wettbewerbsgewinner Benjamin Hänsch (12) wurde bei der feierlichen Preisverleihung zum „Raupen-Paten“ für Rolly gekürt.

„Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei den vielen Kindern bedanken, die sich tolle Namen ausgedacht und zum Wettbewerb eingesandt haben“, so Vanessa Wiegard, Leiterin des Kinderhörzentrums OWL.

Wettbewerbsgewinner Benjamin, der selbst seit frühester Kindheit Hörgeräte trägt, erhielt als Preis für seine Namensidee eine Spielkonsole. Und er erklärte den Versammelten, warum er sich für den Namen „Rolly“ entschieden hat: „Die Raupe hat einen Körper aus orangenen Kugeln. Deswegen kann die Raupe, wenn sie erschöpft ist, rollen.“
